Referral Program Policy

Rento Australia PTY Ltd (Trading as "Knit") is thrilled to introduce our Referral Program ("Program") to reward users who invite their friends and housemates to join and use our bill-splitting platform. By participating in this Program, you agree to the terms outlined below.
Eligibility
1. Referrers:
You must be a current Knit user with an active account.
You must be 18 years or older and a resident of Australia.
2. Invitees:
Invitees must be new users who have not previously signed up for a Knit account.
Invitees must use the referrer’s unique link to sign up and meet all eligibility requirements (see below).
3. General Eligibility:
Invitees must have explicitly consented to receive the referral link from the referrer.
Referral Reward Structure
1. How it Works:
Each qualified invitee will receive $5 worth of bill credits towards their first bill paid with Knit.
For each qualified invite, the referrer will earn 1 point toward rewards.
Rewards are available in tiers based on the total number of points earned by the end of the promotional period.
Points must be redeemed before the end of the Program. Any unused points will be forfeited.

3. Reward Fulfilment:
Rewards are not transferable or redeemable for cash.
Users must provide a valid Australian shipping address to receive physical rewards. Shipping information will only be used for delivery purposes and kept confidential.
Definition of a Qualified Invite
An invite is considered qualified if the following criteria are met:
The invitee is a new user to Knit who has not previously signed up.
The invitee signs up using the referrer’s unique link.
The invitee pays a bill through the Knit platform, which may include service fees and card surcharges. These fees will be displayed before payment is completed.
The invitee splits the bill with at least one other person.
Program Details
1. Promotional Period:
The Program is available to users residing in Australia only.
The Program runs from 2nd of December 2024 to 2nd of March 2025.
2. Limitations and Restrictions:
Only valid referrals within the promotional period will be counted.
Fraudulent activity, including duplicate or fake accounts, will result in disqualification from the Program.
3. Points and Redemption:
Points must be redeemed by 26th of February 2025. Any unused points will expire and cannot be carried forward.
Knit reserves the right to verify the eligibility of referrals before issuing rewards.
Prevention of Fraud and Abuse
Knit maintains the right to monitor all Program activity for compliance. If we detect any activity that we believe to be fraudulent, abusive, or conducted in bad faith, we reserve the right to:
Withhold rewards or points from any user involved.
Revoke participation in the Program for individuals or accounts.
Terminate any account at our sole discretion if it violates these terms or appears to undermine the integrity of the Program.
Decisions made by Knit regarding suspected fraud or abuse are final and binding.
Users may contact Knit at support@knit.homes to appeal decisions if they believe their participation has been unfairly restricted or terminated.
Privacy and Data Use
Referrer and invitee data will be used solely for verifying referral eligibility and delivering rewards.
Shipping information collected for rewards will be used only for delivery purposes and handled in compliance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

Compliance with Australian Law
This Program complies with Australian consumer law and relevant Victorian regulations. As a conditional reward program with no element of chance, the Program does not require permits under the Gambling Regulation Act 2003 (Vic).
Changes to the Program
Knit reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Program at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be communicated through our website or app.
